Ghana now experiencing shortage of Aviation fuel, airlines detour to Gabon

Foreign airlines operating in Nigeria are panicking over current shortage of aviation fuel in West Africa as Ghana, where major airlines go to refuel are now running short of supply to airlines. The development is now a major source of concern, especially during this yuletide season, and looks set to affect operations of airlines as some airlines have now begun to detour to Libreville, Gabon, to refuel. Sources reveal that airlines may begin to ration flights to Nigeria especially when there is no guarantee of getting fuel in neighbouring countries for top-up.
