Members of
the family of Salvation Adaka, who was allegedly shot dead by his colleagues
over N20,000 ‘largesse’ have called on the police authorities to prosecute the
culprits. Mr. Adaka was allegedly shot dead on
November 7 by three of his colleagues from the Agudama-Ekpetiama Police
Division, Bayelsa State, with whom he was on a patrol duty as they argued over
how they would share the N20,000 given to them by people organising a funeral
in the area.
Joseph Yabefa, a representative from Adaka’s family, today revealed that
the family had reeived an autopsy report which confirmed that the victim died
from gunshots wound, with pieces of bullets found in his spinal cord.
