Chelsea continued their interesting campaign,
extending their run of straight wins to nine games with a 1-0 victory over
West Brom while West Ham showed glimpses of a comeback as they held Liverpool
to a draw in a 2-2 game. Manchester United gained all three points as they
defeated Tottenham 1-0 with the only goal coming from new signing Henrik
Mkhitaryan and the talking point being the booing of Marouane Fellaini by the
fans as he made his appearance from the bench in the 90th minute.
Elsewhere a goal from Sofiane Boufal proved to be the match winner in
Southampton’s 1-0 victory over Middlesbrough.
